Killearn Kirk - New Halls

Client: Killearn Kirk Session

Project: Addition of new halls to existing 'B' listed church in conservation area. Demands of Historic Scotland resulted in traditional building form with glazed entrance foyer and three seperate halls which can be opened to form one large chamber. Retractable walls fold into external recesses which are expressed on the West elevation. The new building sits comfortably in the landscape with dramatic views to Loch Lomond beyond.

Awards: The building was awarded the Stirling Civic Trust Award.
