Description |
A 'state of the art' regional
car sales complex extending to 6,400m2 on a 3.82 ha site in Birtley adjacent to the A1(m). The development
includes a display showroom for 150 cars, cafe area, service department, bodyshop, valet area, centralised
administration, customer lounge, children's play area and external car display for 650 cars.
The site incorporates customer and staff parking and a sensitive landscaping strategy. The showroom has
been developed with a large glass display frontage and care has been taken to ensure an energy efficient
design and sustainable development through the use of rain water harvesting and ground source heat pumps
to heat and cool the showroom. Specific attention was given toward economic cut and fill to model the site
and reduce waste. The project is due to commence on site in August 2011.
