Description |
Conversion and extension
of a B listed six storey warehouse within Glasgow's Merchant City to create 8 modern luxury flats
and 2 new duplex penthouses. The ground and first floors were designed for commercial use and the
basement was converted to provide resident's parking. The large windows suggested a 'loft apartment'
approach and the floor plate was arranged to accommodate two large apartments, per floor. The new
duplex Penthouses added an additional 2 floors to the building and the design incorporates a curved
roof structure which plays against the original castellated stone parapet and softens the skyline
of the completed development.
